Dr.Suttinan Subindee
Dr.Suttinan Subindee has a strong research interest in mild cognitive impairment and dementia in older persons. Her research explores community care systems for older persons with dementia and their families. She has extensive experience employing critical ethnographic techniques to study and development of a dementia prevention model in the community.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Mayuree Leethong-in
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Mayuree Leethomgin focuses on research in the area of elderly people and mental health, with an emphasis on dementia prevention. Her ultimate research aim is the development of a model of community participation activities for dementia prevention in the elderly. This research was funded by Khon Kaen University with a budget of 1million baht. Additionally, she also conducts research in the care of older people with surgical health problems, such as abdominal surgery, post-operative delirium, and open heart surgery.

Asst.Prof.Dr.Sirimart Piyawattanapong
Assist. Prof. Dr. Sirimart Piyawattanapong focuses on research in the area of palliative and end-of-life care. Her research emphasizes the development of competency of professional nurses through mechanisms such as educational programs to improve nurses’ knowledge and self-efficacy in caring people with life-limiting illness. She is currently interested in research looking at pain, dyspnea and delirium to improve the quality of care in palliative settings. She has also conducted research related to the development of supporting guidelines for surrogate decision makers on end-of-life treatment.

Asst.Prof.Dr.Ladawan Panpanit
Assistant Professor Ladawan Panpanit is head of the Gerontological Research Cluster and a chairperson of the M.Sc. Program in Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. She is an internationally recognized gerontological nurse researcher whose interdisciplinary research program focuses on improving outcomes for older people in all stages of health; from healthy to acute/chronic illness to end of life. Her research related to health promotion and disease prevention for older people includes the areas of exercise, self-care/self-management, health literacy, complementary and environmental approaches. She also conducts research in the areas of caring for older people with health problems, such as chronic kidney disease, stroke, diabetes mellitus and cancer. Additionally, she has carried out a number of studies related to palliative care and symptom management with an emphasis on nonpharmacological approaches for common symptoms, such as pain, anorexia/nutrition, sleep problems, constipation, fatigue, anxiety, depression and spirituality. Dr. Ladawan is a lifetime member of Khon Kaen University Alumni, International Nursing Foundation of Japan Alumni and Australian Alumni Association Thailand.

Asst.Prof.Dr.Nutda Kumniyom
Miss Nutda Kumniyom is a full-time lecturer in the Department of Gerontological Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. She received her Certificate of Nurse Practitioner in 2011 and her Certificate of Gerontological Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She has both teaching and research experience in elderly nursing on issues of health promotion for the elderly, active aging, fall prevention, musculoskeletal problems, depression, dementia and safe drug use for the elderly. The latest research topic of interest is nursing for the elderly with dementia, dementia screening tools, care plans for the elderly with dementia (Dementia Care Plan) and the development of a comprehensive care system for older persons with dementia.

Assoc.Prof.Dr.Samoraphop Banharak
Associate Professor Dr.Samoraphop Banharak earned his Ph.D. in nursing in 2016 from Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing, Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA. His professional experiences have included emergency and critical care nursing practice, care for older adults, especially with acute myocardial infarction, and knowledge synthesis using systematic review and meta-analysis. Associate Professor Dr. Banharak has worked at the Department of Gerontological Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, for 13 years, since July 2010. He has taught undergraduate and graduate nursing programs and national and international programs. He has held a leadership position as a Program Director of the Master’s Program in Gerontological Nursing for three years between 2018-2021 and as Assistant Dean for International Affairs for two years between 2016-2018. Now, he is an Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Affairs and received the 2-Year Post-Doctoral Training Program at the University of Michigan. His research areas of interest are care for older adults with coronary artery disease, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and sleep disorder, and he mainly focuses on emergency and critical care periods. Moreover, he is an expert in multiple research designs, including randomized controlled trials, mixed methods, systematic reviews, and Meta-analyses. He was granted by both inside and outside universities and national and international institutes.

Dr. Supawadee Thiengtham
Dr. Supavadee Thiengtham has been caring for surgical patients for over 15 years. She successfully completed the Telehealth Certification Program from Florida Atlantic University. Her research interest is on family-centered care with the aim of improving the readiness and preparedness of older adults and their families during the transition from the hospital to their homes. Her current research is focused on providing Isan people with cultural care and she is passionate about applying technology to provide transitional care in a Thai-Isan contex

Sawitree Sommongkol
Sawitree is a Registered Nurse specializing in intensive care units. She has more than 7 years of experience in the field. Her master degree dissertation focused on Post-operative rehabilitation. She is currently developing a Doctoral dissertation about community care systems for dependent older persons. Furthermore, she has other areas of research interest including nursing care for older person with operative surgery such as Post-Operative Delirium (POD) and health care systems.

Patchara Chotchaisthit
Miss Patchara Chotchaisthit has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University for more than 7 years. Her master’s dissertation focused on elderly people with dementia where she explored the nutritional status and eating behavior of elderly persons with dementia and the management of caregivers. This Master’s research project was partially funded by Mahidol University Graduate Alumni Association. She also participated in a research project regarding activities for dementia prevention with community participation in elderly with dementia in the North-eastern of Thailand. She now focuses on the areas of gerontological nursing, the elderly with dementia, cognitive changes, the elderly in community setting, nutrition in the elderly and elderly caregivers.
