Juraipon Samputtanon
BIO :
Ms. Juraipon Samputtanon is a nursing instructor in the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, Faculty of Nursing at Khon Kaen University, Thailand. In 2016-19, she taught didactic and clinical courses relevant to mental health and psychiatric nursing to undergraduate nursing students. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in nursing science at the College of Nursing, University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. She tries to learn as much as possible from her coursework and dissertation to be able to share her knowledge with nursing students
Ms. Juraipon’s research is centered on adolescent mental health. With her multidisciplinary teams, she has conducted several projects promoting the mental health of children and adolescents in schools and communities around Khon Kaen University.
The experience in teaching and dealing with emotional and behavioral problems among adolescents at schools, communities, and mental health institutions have triggered Ms. Juraipon’s concern towards adolescent mental health. As a nurse researcher, she aims to develop effective interventions to improve the mental health self-care of adolescents. In addition, as a nursing instructor, she seeks to enhance her students’ nursing competencies by putting her efforts into designing efficient courses, instructional methods, and evaluation of the learning outcomes.
